You will understand the elements of administration needed for Project Server, and what you need to do to set up the business rules for your enterprise environment. You will have hands-on experience in your own database or a QPM training database that provides you with a chance to see the full settings and functionality that Project Server provides. In addition, each student receives a training guide for the administrative functions of the solution.
Course 2:
Project Management Using Project Server
This is a 2-3 day class focused on implementing sound project management planning, scheduling, and tracking principles using Microsoft® Project. The first day of the course focuses on project management concepts that are integrated into the second two days of learning how to use Microsoft Office Project in the enterprise environment. This course may be customized to reflect the client configuration and standards; it also introduces project managers to Microsoft ® Project's capabilities, demonstrating how those capabilities can be used to transform project concepts into a project schedule and budget, and demonstrating practical ways to track a schedule using Microsoft ® Project. The class includes learning about the collaboration tools that integrate with Project Web Access as well.
