| Course 1: | Administration and Set-up for Project Server | This two-day course provides you with an overview of the Administration and Set Up functionality for Microsoft ® Office Project Server. You will understand the elements of administration needed for Project Server, and what you need to do to set up the business rules for your enterprise environment. You will have hands-on experience in your own database or a QPM training database that provides you with a chance to see the full settings and functionality that Project Server provides. In addition, each student receives a training guide for the administrative functions of the solution. | | Course 2: | Project Management Using Project Server
| This is a 2-3 day class focused on implementing sound project management planning, scheduling, and tracking principles using Microsoft® Project. The first day of the course focuses on project management concepts that are integrated into the second two days of learning how to use Microsoft Office Project in the enterprise environment. This course may be customized to reflect the client configuration and standards; it also introduces project managers to Microsoft ® Project's capabilities, demonstrating how those capabilities can be used to transform project concepts into a project schedule and budget, and demonstrating practical ways to track a schedule using Microsoft ® Project. The class includes learning about the collaboration tools that integrate with Project Web Access as well. | | Course 3: | Resource Management Using Project | This 1-day class introduces resource managers in your organization to resource management features and processes. The class focuses on how projects are created and updated to reflect resource allocation, and the features a resource manager will use to review and analyze resource allocation, assignments and actual work. The class includes how to update resource pool information, if resource managers perform update functions in your organization. The class also includes learning about the collaboration tools that integrate with Project Web Access. | | Course 4: | Leadership Workshop for Microsoft Project Portfolio Management | This 2 hour session provides insight regarding general project management practices as they have been set up using Microsoft® Office Project and the functions that a leader might use or need to understand in Project Web Access. The workshop usually involves discussion about reporting in the Project Center and using Data Analysis. Each attendee receives a job aid for using the executive functions. It is recommended that this training be customized to focus on the main reporting elements your organization has implemented. |
|  | Course 1: | Portfolio Manager Training | This class provides concept discussion and hands-on practice for the organization's Project, Program or Portfolio Management Office personnel who will be managing the portfolio processes of Microsoft Project Server. The course will focus on how to configure the system to support the portfolio management business rules: security, data, workflow, processes, and reports needed for the various stakeholders of the system. | Course 2: | Executive Leadership Training
| This class provides hands-on practice and practical discussion for executives who will use the optimization, analysis and reporting features of Microsoft Project Server. | Course 3: | Contributor Training
| The first part of this class will step students through building and managing business cases to ensure that the data required by the organization is entered accurately and consistently for maximum analysis and reporting capabilities. The second part of the class focuses on ensuring a Portfolio Manager understands the capabilities of Optimizer for analyzing and selecting projects through the organization's portfolio life-cycle. |
