Microsoft Project Server 2007 Training
QuantumPM can provide customized training in support of its Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution using the processes and methods used by the Client. The following courses are a part of the standard curriculum for the Microsoft EPM solution and will be customized to reflect the specific needs of the organization.

Microsoft Project Portfolio Server 2007 Training
QuantumPM can provide customer focused training in support of MS Project Portfolio Server 2007 using the processes and methods used by the Customer. The following five courses are a part of the standard QuantumPM curriculum for the MOPPS solution and will be adapted to reflect the specific needs of the department.
Curriculum Includes:
Course 1:
Administration and Set-up for Project Server 2007
This two-day course provides you with an overview of the Administration and Set Up functionality for Microsoft ® Office Project Server 2007. You will understand the elements of administration needed for Project Server 2007, and what you need to do to set up the business rules for your enterprise environment. You will have hands-on experience in your own database or a QPM training database that provides you with a chance to see the full settings and functionality that Project Server 2007 provides. In addition, each student receives a training guide that describes each topic used in implementing Microsoft ® Office Project Server 2007.
Course 2:
Project Management Using Project Server 2007
This is a 2 -3 day class focused on implementing sound project management planning, scheduling, and tracking principles using Microsoft® Project 2007. The first day of the course focuses on project management concepts that are integrated into the second two days of learning how to use Microsoft Office Project 2007 in the enterprise environment. This course may be customized to reflect the client configuration and standards; it also introduces project managers to Microsoft ® Project's capabilities, demonstrating how those capabilities can be used to transform project concepts into a project schedule and budget, and demonstrating practical ways to track a schedule using Microsoft ® Project. The class includes learning about the collaboration tools that integrate with Project Web Access 2007 as well.
Course 3:
Resource Management Using Project 2007
This 1-day class introduces resource managers in your organization to resource management features and processes. The class focuses on how projects are created and updated to reflect resource allocation, and the features a resource manager will use to review and analyze resource allocation, assignments and actual work. The class includes how to update resource pool information, if resource managers perform update functions in your organization. The class also includes learning about the collaboration tools that integrate with Project Web Access 2007. New features available in Project Server 2007, such as Resource Plans and team resources will be highlighted as well.
Course 4:
Executive Training for Project Web Access 2007
This 2 hour training class provides training on general project management practices, Microsoft® Office Project 2007 features, and the functions that an executive might use or need to understand in Project Web Access. This training usually involves some discussion about your organization's implementation of project management processes and Project Web Access functionality, including reporting in the Project Center and using Data Analysis. Each student receives a job aid for using the executive functions. It is recommended that this training be customized to focus on the main reporting elements your organization has implemented.
Course 1:
Administration and Set-up for Project Portfolio Server 2007
This class provides concept discussion and hands-on practice for the organization's Project, Program or Portfolio Management Office personnel who will be managing the processes for using Microsoft Project Portfolio Server. The course will focus on how to configure the system to support the portfolio management business rules: security, data, workflow, processes, and reports needed for the various stakeholders of the system.
Course 2:
Executive Leadership Training

This class provides hands-on practice and practical discussion for executives who will use the analysis and reporting features of Microsoft Project Portfolio Server.
Course 3:
Portfolio/Project Manager Training
The first part of this class will step students through building and managing business cases to ensure that the data required by the organization is entered accurately and consistently for maximum analysis and reporting capabilities. The second part of the class focuses on ensuring a Portfolio Manager understands the capabilities of Optimizer for analyzing and selecting projects through the organization's portfolio life-cycle.
Course 4:
Contributor Training
This class helps the resource manager/team member understand the aspects of Microsoft Project Portfolio Server that require their contribution. This class is for individuals who may need the system for reviewing business cases, analyzing reports, or performing other functions that require general understanding, navigation, and use of the system. It also includes understanding the resource pool, resource capacity and demand analysis, and resource analysis and justification for business cases.
