Course Dates
3 three-hour training sessions with 2 hours of lab exercises to follow each session
$1,600.00
Assumes trainee has expert knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 SP1, ASP.NET 3.5, experience with XML, CSS, MOSS Administration, MS SQL 2005 administration.
Minimum Requirements:
Students will need all day access to an individual desktop computer or laptop for Live Meeting and Lab work - (you do not want to switch computers mid-day). Computer will need: 4GB of memory, MS Virtual PC 2007, 50GB of free space minimum, core duo or better processor, running MS XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7 or Server 2008.

In addition, an EVM VPC of about 23GB will be provided to students once confirmed attendance and payment has been received. Said VPC will need to be pre-installed and working on their computer prior to the beginning of the training session.

  • WSS 3.0 Solutions and Features Framework
  • STSADM and Visual Studio 2008 Build Process
  • Visual Studio 2008 Project Structure
  • Content Types and.NET Data types
  • Using SharePoint Fields and Custom Fields
  • Creating Lists and Views

    Day 3:
  • SharePoint Layouts Applications
  • ASP.NET 3.5 WebParts in SharePoint
  • Planning for Application Lifecycles
  • Testing and Debugging with SharePoint
  • SharePoint and Windows Workflow

    Daily Schedule:

    9:30am – 12:30pm
    Live Presentation/Instruction/Walk through via Live Meeting

    12:30pm - 1:30pm
    Lunch Break

    1:30pm – 5:30pm
    Lab Work – each student should plan on about 2 hours of individual lab work in the afternoon. The instructor will be available for guidance and questions for the remainder of the afternoon. It is suggested that students work in a central location so as to work through and questions/challenges together.
