MOSS/WSS Developer Class
Assumes trainee has expert knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 SP1, ASP.NET 3.5, experience with XML, CSS, MOSS Administration, MS SQL 2005 administration.

Description: 3 three-hour training sessions with 2 hours of lab exercises to follow each session

Minimum Requirements:
Students will need all day access to an individual desktop computer or laptop for Live Meeting and Lab work - (you do not want to switch computers mid-day). Computer will need to have 4GB of memory have MS Virtual PC 2007 loaded have 50GB of free space minimum be core duo or better processor be running MS XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7 or Server 2008.

In addition a EVM VPC of about 23GB will be provided to students once confirmed attendance and payment has been received. Said VPC will need to be pre-installed and working on their computer prior the the beginning of the training session.

IPM/WSS Training

Description: 3 four-hour webcast training sessions with suggested exercises to follow each webcast.
$1600 Per Person

Webcasts are broken down as follows:
    Day 1:
  • Review of business processes and architectural strategy of Idea Home, walkthrough of IPMIdeaHomeApplication and IPMIdeaHomeWebparts features at the code level. Discussion and exercises will cover Installation and Configuration of the IPM solution on the EPM V4 vpc, setting up a development environment, code level modification and debugging of webparts and examination of potential use cases for IPM codebase customization.
    Day 2:
  • Review of business processes and architectural strategy of Challenge Home, walk through of IPMChallengeApplication, IPMChallengeSubApplication, IPMChallengeWebParts. Discussion and exercises will elaborate on the strategies for code modifications with use cases for Idea creation, the promotion of Ideas to MS Project server, and Idea Rating controls.
    Day 3:
  • Identify and discuss opportunities for modification and extensibility of Idea Home and Challenge Home codebase in the context of Branding, changing Idea Promotion business process and integration with the PWS-level Idea webparts, and adding custom fields to the Ideas List
